With breathtaking views over Lough Owel and plenty to do in the area, Lake Lodge is the perfect location for your next family trip. Our three vacation homes offer stylish and spacious interiors, and we can accommodate up to 20 for a group getaway, or three families/couples in separate homes.
You can make the most of your lakeside stay by fishing from the private dock, renting a boat or bikes, playing a round of golf, exploring our expansive grounds and gardens, touring the many heritage sites, greenways and waterways in the area, or just relaxing on the private patio at your secluded property.
Visitors to Lake Lodge can enjoy our 1km private walking trail set within the grounds, and will be walking in historic footsteps when they do so. During it’s former life as an old family estate, the first President of Ireland, Dr. Douglas Hyde was known to camp on the shores of Brabazon Bay, Lough Owel where our property now sits.
Barn, Lodge or Stables
Lake Lodge is located just an hour from Dublin on the east coast, and 90 minutes from Galway on the west coast, and there is a wealth of cultural activity, dining, nightlife and shopping on offer in our surrounding towns. Renowned for it’s cultural and music scene, the purple flag town of Mullingar is 5 miles away, offering award winning restaurants, shops, tourist attractions and children’s activities. The village of Multyfarnham, with two traditional pubs and one award winning restaurant, is just 3 miles away. Within an easy drive of LakeLodge, you can also explore Ireland’s Ancient East to the east, and Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands to the south-west.
